Pantone Color of the Year: Peach Fuzz

Pantone Color of the Year: Peach Fuzz

Every year Pantone selects the color of the year, and for 2024, the color of the year is peach fuzz.

The executive director of the Pantone Color Institute™, Leatrice Eiseman, described the color peach fuzz as a warm, modern elegant hue that resonates with compassion.

However you choose to describe it is up to you, but there’s no denying that this is a perfect color for spring.

Spring colors usually entail light or bright hues and shades of primary colors. While they may be bright, they’re closer to a pale bright and not a neon type of bright. Peach fuzz easily fits into spring’s ideal colors.

How to incorporate peach fuzz into your outfit

It shouldn’t be too hard to incorporate the color of the year into your spring wardrobe, and it could easily go with some items you may already have. Especially white or cream-colored items.

Business or Business Casual

It’s easy to think of neutral or dark colors when thinking of business attire, but don’t count peach fuzz out.

A peach fuzz-colored blazer with matching shorts or a pencil skirt is sure to keep you stylish in the office.

What’s even better? A plain white T-shirt or bodysuit, that you probably already own and don’t have to go out to spend more money on, would seamlessly complete your outfit!

Next, there’s always the classic button-down shirt with a pair of slacks or nice work pants. With this combination, try a peach shirt and beige pants for a clean office look.

You can also reverse this combination and try peach-colored tailored bottoms with a white button-down shirt.

Feeling more casual? You can also try a peach fuzz blazer with a white T-shirt and a pair of light jeans. For a more professional look, make sure those jeans aren’t distressed.

As for shoes? Beige or nude heels would look best for business attire, while white flats or sandals would go best with business casual attire.

Casual

Simple, casual outfits could include a midi or maxi peach skirt or nice shorts matched with a cream tank top and a pair of white sneakers.

Another option? An all-white look, using peach fuzz as your pop of color. For the all-white look, you could wear a white T-shirt and white jeans, a white tank top and white shorts, or even a white top and white skirt.

The pop of color could be included in a handful of ways. This could be used in an accessory like a peach belt or watch with a peach strap, a peach handbag or purse, or peach-colored sandals or flats.

Or, pair it with a light peach cardigan for those breezier days.

Finally, for those who can’t resist a nice spring dress, opt for either a white cotton or linen dress with peach accessories, or, try to find a peach dress with beige/nude accessories and shoes. For example, you could use a Bottega Veneta mini Jodie bag in a peach color to incorporate into your outfit.
